USF eSports Summit gathers leaders from across the eSports ecosystem to discuss the growth and future of the industry.

Per Newzoo, the global eSports industry is expected to exceed $1 Billion in revenue in 2019, representing 27% in year-over-year revenue growth. Global eSports viewership is expected to hit 450 million worldwide in 2019 representing year-over-year growth of 15%. These staggering stats, along with the predictions for additional revenue growth as the market continues to innovate and attract new investment.

The USF eSports Summit will take an inside look at the eSports Industry. University, community and sports leaders will learn how USF and the Tampa Bay region can benefit from the fastest-growing segment of sports and entertainment.

High school esports is changing students' lives, but why are current programs only reaching some students? J Collins will talk about the incubation of an idea in the Obama administration, how that became the first high school esports team in the nation at an all-girls' school, and how to build more inclusive high school esports programs moving forward.

Building a Community-Driven Gaming Organization

Alex Jebailey is the founder and director for CEO Gaming. He is also the Fighting Game Championship Director for DreamHack. He is best known for hosting and directing some of the largest fighting game tournaments in the world. CEO Gaming started out as a small 300+ person event in 2010 has continued to grow year after year at it’s an annual convention in June each year. CEO 2019 hosted in Daytona Beach drew a record 10,000 attendees from 50 US states and 42 countries. Alex will discuss how he built CEO Gaming into one of North America's top community-driven competitive gaming organizations.
