Call for Esports Research Proposals

The USF Esports Summit hosted by the Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management Program in the Muma College of Business gathers leaders from across the esports ecosystem to discuss the growth and future of the industry.
 
The summit invites submission of extended abstracts from faculty members, students, and industry professionals on research related to esports. Research areas may include applied, theoretical, and conceptual topics in all facets of the esports ecosystem including every aspect of business (marketing, sales, finance, media, consumer behavior, etc.), engineering, design, analytics, education, law and governance.
 
Submission Guidelines

Upon submission, make note of the type of presentation desired:

  1. 25-minute oral presentation including questions
  2. 60-minute poster presentation

Note: A limited number of time slots are available for oral presentations. Thus, papers submitted to 25 min. oral presentations may be relegated to the poster presentation session based on reviewer feedback.

Submission Format

1.) Abstracts should:

      1. Be no longer than two single-spaced pages (including references).
      2. Include all aspects of the study (i.e., background, objectives, methods, analysis, results).
      3. Be formatted using guidelines from the APA Manual.

2.) Abstracts must be submitted through the USF Esports Summit online submission system.

Submission indicates the intent of the presenter(s) to register for the summit by September 3, 2020.

Submission Deadline
All abstracts must be received by Thursday, April 23, 2020 (11:59 PM EDT).

Review Process
All abstracts will undergo a double blind review process. Submitting authors will be notified by email of a decision by Monday, June 1, 2020.
