eSports Leaders to Converge in Tampa for USF eSports Summit

Made possible by Fox Sports Florida, the University of South Florida Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management Program is excited to announce the 2019 USF eSports Summit.

The USF eSports Summit will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at the University of South Florida Marshall Student Center in Tampa, Florida. The audience for the inaugural event is expected to include sports & entertainment executives, investors, technology leaders, government & community leaders, economic development professionals, local & regional media, and university faculty & students.

According to Newzoo, the global eSports industry is expected to exceed both $1 billion in revenue, and viewership of 450 million in 2019. These staggering statistics, along with the predictions for additional revenue growth as the market continues to innovate and attract new investment have confirmed that eSports is taking its place in the sports and entertainment world.

The summit will take an inside look at the eSports industry and provide attendees with the opportunity to learn how USF and the Tampa Bay region can benefit from the fastest-growing segment of sports and entertainment.
